WHEN RECEIVING AT THE COUNTER, YOU HAVE THE DUTY TO :

1) Carefully inspect the garments.

2) Inform your customer as to the eventual results.

The key to a satisfied customer resides in the accomplishment of these two tasks.

IMPORTANT :

When taking in suede or leather garments :

1) Use the available information leaflets (ex. Better Business Bureau or I.F.I) to inform your customer .

2) Identify all existing stains and show them to your representative. (Inform your customers that certain stains may not disappear because of the cellular structure of the skin.) Refer to our stain chart.

3) Examine the fading spots and the worn out areas because the cleaning will accentuate the variations between the different skins.

4) Be on the look out for any defect such as rents, missing buttons, broken zippers, defective snaps, stiff and rough skins, holes, etc.. Show them to your customer and note them on your invoice.

5) Any torn or unstitched area of the garment must undergo repair prior to cleaning to prevent the aggravation of the damage. Charge applicable fees and duly advise your representative.

6) Verify that the lining does not outstrip the garment at the bottom or sleeves. Duly specify it on your invoice.

7) Ornaments, buckles, loose buttons, "expensive or rare", and laces. If these items have to be removed and put back on to avoid damages or loss, we have to charge a minimum fee. Advise your customer.

8) All parts of ensembles, multi-piece outfits must be processed at the same time to ensure color match.

9) The coloration is not 100% guaranteed, but the garments will be restored as much as possible to their original color. The texture of unfinished leather (cuir sauvage, "NUBUCK") may drastically change if a recoloration is necessary. (On request only)

10) A responsibility waiver duly signed by customer is necessary for risky garments :

Ex.. Multicolored (proncipally those with black)

  • Vinyl
  • Ornaments
  • Belts
  • Purses
  • Hats
  • White and beige gloves
  • Rabbits
  • Ties
  • Ski gloves

11) Sheepskins Rugs : Check with your customer to determine if the skin is stiff or torn.

12) If any of the above mentioned defects are found, clearly show them to your customer and list them on the invoice.

We cannot accept any responsibility for failure on your part to advise your customer of the risks associated to leather and suede cleaning.

PLEASE : Inspect the garment carefully and advise your customer accordingly.
